Meet Dr. Fawziah Qadir: Influencer of The Month of October!
Fawziah has consistently blown us away with her style, confidence, and beauty each month. She is one of the longest standing influencers that we have, and we are so excited to present her as Influencer of The Month of October!
Not only does she put together some killer fits (and gorgeous jewelry stacks to top off her looks), but her impressive educational background, unapologetically powerful vibe, and love and support of KOZAKH has inspired us and reminded us of why we do what we do!
Small bio about your background
Fawziah, affectionately known as Foozy, is the creative behind the lifestyle blog and instagram, FoozyDoes. Passionate about women’s empowerment, she started FoozyDoes as a place to encourage women to live the lives that they envision for themselves, on their own terms. Through fashion, beauty, travel, and lifestyle, she explores the multifaceted aspects of life as a thriving Black woman.
Who you are/what you do
As a multi-hyphenated woman, I wear many hats. Professionally, I am professor of education and leadership at New York University, where I also received my doctorate of education. I am an avid traveler and lived abroad in Cairo, Egypt for five years. I am Egyptian-Nubian, Jamaican, African American, and Afro-Cuban and speak 3 languages.
What are your favorite KOZAKH pieces/ favorite Kozakh stack?
I am obsessed with anything that has the evil eye charm and the first piece I fell in love with was the Iza Necklace. Since then, I have built a signature Kozakh necklace stack, which includes the Fiores Choker Necklace, the Dawn Initial Necklace, the Irun Necklace and of course, my Iza Necklace.
What trends are you following right now?
I am absolutely obsessed with anything faux leather and loafers.
What's your personal jewelry style?
My personal jewelry style is simple, elegant, and timeless. I love to layer and stack these pieces as conversation starters.
What fashion trends are you predicting for fall/winter?
I think that we are going to see a lot more faux leather and shearling this winter. I am really into capsule wardrobes and I think so many people are jumping on the trend of a minimalist wardrobe with classic yet interchangeable pieces.
Charity Highlight
Foozy supports many charities such as the ASPCA, UNICEF, the Malala Fund, but wants to highlight Oasis - A Haven for Women and Children.
Oasis is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization located in Paterson, New Jersey. They carry out educational and social service programs that help women enter and succeed in the workforce and help children flourish academically. They also operate a soup kitchen and provide emergency food, clothing, and social support to city residents in need.
